Message from our president - charles edmonds

I hope everyone plans on attending our final meeting on November 10th at the Eastside Montessori School’s Gymnasium at 7PM. Committees will be giving their final reports, and we will hold elections for the 2026 officers and the replacement of retiring WLH Community Trust members, so it will be an exciting night. For anyone new to the process, a nominating committee has been meeting to recruit nominees for the officer positions, and will make their report at the meeting, after which I will ask if there are any nominations from the floor, the vote will be counted and the winners announced. 

For the Trust, the incoming WLHNA President and Treasurer will automatically join the Trustees, and the existing Trust members will nominate replacements for members that have served their maximum term or are unable to continue serving, after which I will ask for nominations from the floor, the vote will be taken and the winners announced. 

All the terms of office begin 1/1/2026. and the two organizations are independent but work collectively to improve our neighborhood.

We will also celebrate the successes of our committees and volunteers who have made a great effort to improve our neighborhood with their projects and enthusiasm.
