According to a White Lake Dairy ad, Mr. & Mrs. Roscoe Mann started White Lake Dairy with 20 head of dairy cattle, a two-mule spring board wagon delivery, a few milk pails and two or three hand churns. They grew to have a herd of more than 800 head of fine dairy stock. Their slogan was "You Can Whip Our Cream... But You Can't Beat Our Milk"
Eventually the dairy closed and the land was sold for residential development. There is still a dairy silo located behind the Waffle House on Oakland, just north of I-30.
In 1962, Ted C. Peters started a new development, White Lake Hills.
In September of 1963, it was featured in the Parade of Homes.
