July 4th 2026 Recap

2026 was a great year for our 4th of July celebration!  Happy 250th, America!!!

We had three categories for the parade and the following are the categories and winners. Most Patriotic - Happy Birthday America (name of the float)

Most Creative - Land of A/C (name of the float)

Best Youth Entry - Boy Scout Troup 180 (their 25th year in our parade).

A BIG Thank you to everyone who participated in WLH 4th of July Parade for 2026. 

We had a lot of floats, scooters, walkers, and bicycles and all were great. 

A special thank you to Boy Scouts Troup 180 for their 25 years of participating in our parade.

• Charles and Elaine Edmonds for being our judges. 
• Bill Hanna as the lead car with Toby Jackson.
• Bill & Donna Hanna who donated the ice cream.
• Becky and Doug Forsythe for driving our guest Celina Vasquez.
• Code Blue staff for being on the parade route and keeping everyone on track. And Kris Lewis and Bill Bowman for having CODE Blue information.
• Pat and Jack Kuehn for handing out ice cream and water.
• Becky Forsythe and Diana Dupre for the face painting.
• Jennifer Evalle for the temporary tattoos.
• Kaitlyn Trevino and friends for providing rocks and paint for decorated rocks to go around our monument sign. 
• Ida for having the voter registration table. 
• Phil Hennen for our music.
• Bill Bowman for getting the ice cream and dry ice. 
• Thank you to the ones that helped decorate and pick up at the end. 

You all are what makes this neighborhood fun and the younger family's are the future of WLH.
